Instructions
  1. Mackerel is sold frozen in our latitudes. It is better to defrost it all the time in the refrigerator. Just transfer from the evening from the freezer to the refrigerator. By the way, if the fish is a little frostbitten in the morning, it will be easier to clean and mill it. And so, we clean and mill our mackerel. From the fillet with tweezers, select the bones. You can, of course, skip this step, but if you have patience and a little trouble, then everyone will appreciate it. In any case, pre-extraction of bones from any fish-a sign of good taste cook.
  2. Salt and pepper the prepared fillet. For two mackerels, 0.5 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of pepper are required. We send it to the refrigerator for 2 hours for salting.
  3. In the meantime, prepare the marinade. Add 3 tbsp vinegar, 3/4 tbsp salt, 1.5 tbsp sugar, 1.5 tsp black pepper, 3/4 tsp cinnamon to the water. Put the marinade on the fire and bring to a boil. Then cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
  4. Clean the onion, cut into half rings.
  5. Add cranberries and wine to the marinade.
  6. Put the onion in the same place and cook again for 5 minutes over low heat, bringing it to a boil. Leave to cool.
  7. Remove the Bay leaf from the marinade, punch the marinade with a blender. Leave to cool completely.
  8. Fish, after salting, wash. Then dry with paper towels.
  9. Cut the fillet into pieces and send it to the marinade. Mix and put in clean jars. Put in the refrigerator for marinating for 6 hours. Mackerel will be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  10. Delicious with black bread.
  11. And also a great snack with beer or vodka! Delicious!
