Canape “Three Cheeses” with Nuts and Plums Recipe
Canapes-buffet mini appetizer on skewers. These small sandwiches are very diverse in shape and composition. They look nice on a holiday table. And in a home environment (lunch-dinner), your loved ones will delight in such a delicious snack. From these ingredients, canapes can be stored in the refrigerator (in a container with a lid) for several days. At any time, you can eat a small sandwich with great pleasure!

  1. To prepare a cheese canape, you will need 8 thinly sliced slices (~10*10 cm) of semi-hard cheese. That is, two packages-sliced 125 g. (!!! when buying cheese, please note that both packages of cheese were approximately the same size). Put the dried plum on a plate (on layers of paper towel) to get rid of excess oil. You will need ~ 45 halves of plums. From the total weight of walnuts, set aside 9-10 halves, chop the remaining nuts into small crumbs (set aside 2 tbsp.) in a bowl, put the soft curd-cream cheese, add the chopped nuts and Parmesan. Add pepper to taste and mix well.
  2. Assembling cheese sandwiches for canapes (two sandwiches with 4 layers of cheese): Cover the Assembly surface with plastic wrap and lay it out in layers: – slice of cheese -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste – slice of cheese -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste – dried plums (9 PCs.) -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste – slice of cheese -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste – dried plums (9 PCs.) -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste – slice of cheese -a thin layer of cheese and nut paste Repeat with the remaining cheese. You’ll get two big sandwiches. Wrap the cheese sandwiches (separately) in plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours. (day).
  3. Over time (well-chilled cheese sandwiches have thickened)free the sandwiches from the film, sprinkle with the remaining walnuts. With a sharp knife (with a thin blade)cut each sandwich into 9 small pieces.
  4. Secure each canape with a bamboo skewer, garnish (alternating) with dried plum and half a walnut. When serving, place the canapes on a platter, if desired, offer a glass of chilled sparkling or dry wine! Bon Appetit!!!
