  1. Cut the bread into cubes, dry it in the oven or in a frying pan with vegetable oil. Wash the vegetables, peel them.
  2. Cut carrots and potatoes into cubes, celery into pieces. Pour 1 liter of water. Cook for 20 minutes. I used the “Soup” program in a slow cooker.
  3. Discard the vegetables in a colander. Measure 1 liter of broth.
  4. Chop the vegetables with an immersion blender. Pour in the broth again, season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir the soup and add salt to taste, pour on plates, add crackers (they are much tastier) and garnish with herbs.
