Traditional ayran is a drink made from a mixture of fermented milk product with water. I want to offer you a recipe for ayran from homemade yogurt. In the modern world, homemade yogurt fills a person with cheerfulness and gives him an incredible burst of energy. You will forget about a bad dream, because homemade yogurt is enriched with trace elements that calm the nervous system.
To make yogurt, I used a bacterial starter “Natural yogurt”.
Everything is pretty fast and simple.
Take milk at room temperature – 1 liter.
Pour the milk into the dry starter and mix well to get a homogeneous mass.
Pour boiling water into a thermos to the mark and put it in a yogurt maker for 10 hours to cook.
After 10 hours, I take out the finished yogurt and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
The result is a delicious, thick drinking yogurt with a delicate creamy taste.
Ingredients for homemade ayran.
In a measuring cup, mix well the freshly prepared natural yogurt from Orsik, ice water and sea salt (if desired, you can chop and add fresh mint, but a more traditional option is to add whole small leaves for decoration).
Use ayran chilled.
If you cook it at least once, you will realize that it is an indispensable refreshing cocktail, ideal for quenching thirst and light hunger in the heat.
