Mash the melted cheese in triangles with a fork, adding cream to make a homogeneous mass. Add the garlic and nutmeg crushed through the press.
Add garlic to taste, but do not overdo it. There should be only a slight taste of garlic and no sharpness. I added half a small clove. The figs get soft. Wash them well and dry them. With a knife, cut lengthwise and remove the bone.
