1 (I personally like it more). Fresh white bread (it would be good to have your own, freshly baked) cut into cubes, put on an ungreased baking sheet and at 160 degrees, stirring occasionally, dry until Golden and ready. Leave the right amount for the salad, the rest in the meat grinder and breading.
Option 2. Fry the bread cubes in a pan until crisp.
I always dry in the oven, the crackers are less greasy and more delicious.
