Chicken thighs baked in the oven are always delicious. Recently discovered an interesting taste that is obtained when baking chicken with persimmon. Simple and unusual.
For cooking, a slightly unripe persimmon is best. It should be dense and firm. Wash persimmon, then cut into neat slices.
I peel the red onion from the husk and cut it lengthwise into thin pieces.
I chop garlic. I peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
I put the chicken thighs in a deep bowl. Add crushed garlic and ginger. I pour in the vegetable oil. Salt to taste (I added 1/4 tsp salt).
Mix thoroughly, rubbing garlic, ginger and oil into the chicken.
To bake the thighs in the oven, I take a small fireproof form. Spread in the center of the form of chicken thighs with pieces of garlic and ginger. Pour over the top and sides of the remaining oil in the bowl.
Around the chicken thighs I spread pieces of persimmon and red onion.
I put the form in a preheated 180 degree oven and bake the chicken thighs for 45-50 minutes.
Chicken thighs baked with persimmon and red onion are ready.
