Cold Green Tea Recipe
I am very thirsty in the heat, and everyone knows that the best remedy for thirst is tea. It’s true. I used to buy green tea in plastic bottles, and then, when I came to the garden, I looked and thought: – So, everything I need for this wonderful drink (except lemon and sugar of course) grows here. And for several years now, both in summer and in winter, I have been doing it myself. It may be useful to someone. By the way, if you drink it hot, it warms up very well.

Instructions
  1. We will need ginger, lemon (citric acid), sugar, water, tea bags (I take black, it plays the role of a dye) and herbs. I have a favorite set: mint, lemon balm, lemongrass leaves, black leaves. currant, raspberry and garden bergamot (I don’t remember 2 of its names). They do not interrupt, but complement each other’s taste.
  2. Do not forget that ANY PRODUCT CAN CAUSE ALLERGIES, so if you have not tried any spicy herb yet, first check if there is a reaction. Bring the water to a boil, put sugar, a few plates of ginger (do not overdo it, otherwise it will burn like pepper) and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. While it boils, cut the grass.
  4. For convenience, I take the largest sheet and the rest on it. I roll it into a tube and slice it.
  5. Now put the chopped grass and tea, bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Turn off the heat, close the lid and let it brew for 15 minutes.
  7. Now add lemon juice or lemon zest to taste.
  8. We are waiting for it to cool down, or we don’t have to wait.
  9. By the way, I do not dry these herbs for the winter, but freeze them. Wash, dry with water, cut, put in a bag, flatten it so that it becomes flat, and freeze. If necessary, we break off and cook.
  10. Strain and enjoy this tea.
