Salad with Herring and Potatoes Recipe
Once I made this salad for guests. It did not just fly away, it ran away from the table within 5 minutes and now friends, in advance, before coming to visit, ask me to cook it. But it’s so simple!

  1. Boil the potatoes in water (or cook in a steamer) in the peel until tender. Clear. Cut into small cubes.
  2. Peel the onion. Cut into thin half-rings.
  3. Remove the head and tail from the herring. Clear. Gut it. Remove the bones as much as possible. Fillet is not coarsely chopped.
  4. Mix potatoes, herring, and onions in a salad bowl. Add to taste: aromatic vegetable oil, lemon juice, mustard, ground black pepper.
  5. Mix well.
