Paella… It is difficult to add something new to the main recipe of this Spanish dish. But I tried anyway. It turned out delicious, satisfying and beautiful!
Defrost the seafood cocktail and drain the liquid. Heat the oil in a wide frying pan, fry the seafood for 2-3 minutes on high heat and set aside.
In the same pan, fry the finely chopped onion until transparent.
Add the rice and stir. Fry the rice, stirring, for a couple of minutes.
Pour boiling water over the rice so that it covers the rice on the finger. Reduce the heat to medium, add salt. The total cooking time is about 20 minutes. After adding water, rice should not be stirred. Add tomato puree or crushed tomato pulp.
After 10 minutes, put the diced pepper in the pan.
Frozen green peas.
And green beans.
When the water is absorbed and the rice is ready, put it on top of the seafood and garnish with lemon slices. Close the lid and let stand for a few minutes before serving. Serve the paella to the table hot. Enjoy your meal!
