Salad “Joy” Recipe
This delicious salad can be attributed to the original herring salads – many people like it even more than “Herring under a fur coat”. The vegetables in the salad are in perfect harmony with the apple, and the salad turns out to be quite light, fresh and juicy.

  1. Cut the herring fillet into cubes.
  2. Cut the eggs arbitrarily.
  3. Slice the potatoes.
  4. Slice the carrots.
  5. Chop the apple last, before placing it in a salad bowl, so as not to darken, or sprinkle with lemon juice if desired.
  6. Put the mayonnaise in a pastry bag. Lay the salad in layers. In a salad bowl, put the first layer of potatoes, smear with mayonnaise and salt, using half the salt.
  7. The second layer is herring with mayonnaise.
  8. The third layer is eggs and mayonnaise.
  9. The fourth layer is apple and mayonnaise.
  10. The last layer is carrots.
  11. Pour mayonnaise on top and add salt to skip the remaining salt. Decorate as you wish. I used cherry tomatoes, parsley and dill, green onions. Enjoy your meal!
