Today I want to treat you to sandwiches on rye bread with herring. Cottage cheese and vegetables will be a great addition! Vegetables will give juiciness, herring – piquancy, and cottage cheese will complete the harmony of taste!

  2. Spread the bread with a thin layer of butter on both sides.
  3. Fry the slices of bread in a hot frying pan on both sides until the desired browning or dry in the oven.
  4. Mix cottage cheese well with sour cream and chopped herbs (dill and green onions). Do you want to add flavor by adding salt, black pepper or your favorite spices suitable for fish. I didn’t add anything, and I had enough salt from the herring.
  5. Cut the cucumber into slices. The tomato is also sliced, if it is small, I have half rings.
  6. Cut the herring fillet into small cubes and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  7. We assemble a sandwich: spread the curd mass on a slice of toasted bread (about 1 tbsp.l. for each).
  8. Place slices of tomato and cucumber on top.
  9. And finally finely chopped herring.
  10. Serve immediately, sprinkled with your favorite herbs. All the sandwiches are ready!
