I want to offer a very simple appetizer of tomatoes with feta sauce, yogurt. This requires ripe tomatoes. Basil can be replaced with dill. The sauce can be filled with any vegetable salads.
To make the sauce, put feta, yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice in a glass of a blender (chopper).
Add freshly ground black pepper.
Add garlic, fresh basil leaves and whisk.
Adjust the thickness of the sauce with the amount of yogurt or vegetable oil.
Check if there is no salt, add it if necessary.
Tomatoes cut into rings (half rings), put on a plate.
Add freshly ground black pepper.
If desired, add salt (remember that tomatoes will release juice).
Pour the sauce on top, sprinkle with lemon zest (optional).
