Instructions
  1. The dough can be prepared using a bread maker or kneaded with your hands. If you use instant yeast, then all the ingredients (except butter and candied fruits) of the dough are simply mixed, warm water is added and the dough is kneaded for ten minutes.
  2. Then add the butter at room temperature and knead for 5 minutes. Last of all, add candied fruits, knead again.
  3. Shape the dough into a ball, cover the dough with a film or towel and leave it to come up in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  4. Knead the dough, divide into 16 equal parts (if you want bigger buns, you can divide into 9 parts), roll the balls. Cover with a damp towel and let them dissolve until they increase in volume.
  5. Roll out each ball of dough and lay out the filling.
  6. Remove well and place in a baking dish lined with baking paper. Make a criss-cross incision with scissors. Brush the top with egg and sprinkle with chopped candied fruits.
  7. Before baking, let it come up again and bake until ready at 180-190 degrees.
  8. Bon appetit.
