I bring to your attention a Limburg pie, which combines a sandy-yeast dough with a sweet fruit or berry filling. Today I prepared this pie with black currant. It turned out very tasty and vitamin-rich!
This bread in Scotland used to be baked on the eve of the feast of St. Michael, on September 29, when all the grain was removed. Bread was traditionally baked by the eldest daughter in the family from the grains of the fresh harvest. A mixture of different grains was used for “Struan”: rye, oats, barley, wheat. The grains were pre-ground and soaked in water or milk. Then they baked bread, and in the morning they carried it to the church to receive the blessing of the priest, who asked St. Michael for a plentiful harvest.
I’ve never been abroad. But, of course, I would really like to. However, in the light of current events, we can only dream, and also sit in front of the TV and do “zyring”. I.e., travel together with the hosts of culinary programs from different countries (by the way, everything is bad for them too). And you can also travel through the pages of books! This is much more useful. And the first place we will go is to Alsace. A historical region on the border of three countries-Germany, Switzerland and France. Today, this territory belongs to France and is part of the administrative region of Grand Est. Little Red Riding Hood brought us here, or rather, a well-known fairy tale. Well, we load our guns and go to the forest to scare the wolves. And at the same time we will take the treat to Grandma.
Pizza Toskana. The first pizza was made in Naples in 1552. This year, the first tomatoes were brought to Europe. This dish was immediately liked by the wife of the King of Italy, Margaret of Savoy. One of the most famous pizzas was named in her honor. Cooked Italian pizza at home is no different from the original. Italian pizza has a huge number of options (about 200). What inventive pizzaioles don’t put in there. This is the name given in Italy to the people who prepare this dish.
I share my family pizza recipe. Stored since autumn, baked and frozen sweet peppers allow you to make this pizza on any winter day and delight us with its sweet taste. A large amount of baked pepper makes this dish not only fragrant, sweet, but also quite useful. It is healthier than regular pizza, as the dough is made from a mixture of unbleached wheat flour and wholemeal flour; the filling contains more pepper, does not contain any smoked meat, and the cheese is not baked under direct heating of the upper spiral of the oven. Less trans fat is formed, since this dish is sprinkled with cheese 10 minutes before cooking, so that it melts, but does not dry out (so that the fat does not separate from it as in ordinary purchased pizzas). This dish is slightly sweet due to the pepper and spicy due to the spices.
From history: Due to the high cost of wheat flour in the central region, pancakes were baked from buckwheat flour and with yeast. They called them “red” and “festive” – because of the color. Today, on the last day of Shrovetide week, I will bake yeast buckwheat pancakes on buckwheat porridge with the addition of wheat flour. Pancakes can be eaten with whatever you want. Yes, they are delicious and simple with butter or sour cream.
Very simple and delicious cooking of whites in a frying pan. And simple, because even my sixteen-year-old son coped with the preparation of belyasha.
I suggest baking ham and cheese buns. They are very tasty both immediately after baking and the next day. These buns can be taken with you to work, put the child in school or take on a picnic. The dough is kneaded on sour cream, which makes it soft, tender and does not stale for a long time.
Cheese pastries are always a holiday for me! I want to finish the marathon of the New Year holidays with a fragrant and delicious pie with cheese and bacon in a creamy garlic sauce! The pie came out fluffy, satisfying, fragrant!
Delicious babies with vegetables and cheese. You can add sausages or meat. Lush, delicious, airy!
