Cheese Cookies with Basil Recipe
Everyone liked the dough from Laurent pie so much that by the weekend I decided to bake a sponge cake according to the Kish recipe. Replacing nuts with “aged” cheese, I got a new, very tasty combination, which, perhaps, will be used later in the preparation of the pie. The cookies were eaten in a few minutes (even slightly burnt), perfect as a base for a snack!

  1. Wash the egg. Put it in a bowl, add basil and salt, mix everything with a whisk. Cut the butter into small cubes, add to the egg and mix everything thoroughly, it is best to eat with a fork. Add the grated cheese and mix again, the mass should turn out slightly crumbly and soft.
  2. Add a little flour and start kneading the dough, at this stage it is best to do it with a spatula. When the dough begins to acquire a more homogeneous mass, pour in the remaining flour and knead the dough with your hands (after putting on gloves). – Knead the dough until it stops sticking to your hands. – Roll the dough into a ball. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.
  3. After the time has elapsed, sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the dough. Cut into small circles.
  4. Place the circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake in a preheated 280 degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove the finished biscuit from the mold and cool on a flat surface. Enjoy your meal,
