It is said that the first American president liked to treat himself to this drink. Well, let’s help ourselves too! This tea can be served cold or warm, I decided on the latter option. Sweet and sour, a very pleasant drink!
The recipe is very simple, but no less delicious!
Actually, the original recipe contains a maraschino cherry, but I couldn’t find it. I had to use cherries in syrup.
The syrup should be separated from the berries using a strainer.
Tea in my case is black, plain, without additives. What you need!
Boil water and brew a tea bag.
In a cocktail glass, add cherry syrup, squeeze lemon juice. One slice per serving (as much as possible, it’s a matter of taste).
Pour in the tea and stir. Sugar is not needed, the syrup is so beautiful and sweet!
If desired, add cherries, they will be by the way, well, and a slice of lemon.
Serve!
If you want to make a chilled tea, put a couple of ice cubes in a glass.
This drink is well suited for cozy home meetings with friends!
