An unusual cookie with a nut-Fig filling repeats the shape of a Fig fruit. It is quite simple to prepare, and the result will not leave anyone indifferent. Cookies turn out to be moderately sweet, flavorful, shortbread dough-crumbly. Be sure to try to make cookies according to this recipe, you will be satisfied!
First, prepare the filling. Walnuts are crushed. My figs and finely cut.
In a bowl with a non-stick bottom, put all the ingredients for the filling: chopped figs, chopped nuts, sugar, butter and water.
Put on medium heat and cook the mixture until it is a mushy mass. 10-15 minutes.
Knead all the ingredients for the dough into a plastic ball. We use soft butter.
Divide it into 16 equal parts. That’s how many cookies we’ll have.
We tear a square piece from the roll of food film. We spread a ball of dough on it and press it with our hands into a flat cake about 8 cm in diameter. Top with a teaspoon of filling.
And, using the film, close the edges, slightly scrolling it into a node. This creates a relief of figs.
Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degrees.
