Italian Chocolate Cake Recipe
I’ve been wanting to bake this wonderful chocolate cake for a long time. This chocolate-filled cake is called Moretto. The recipe is ancient and not complicated at all. The peculiarity of the cake is that it is prepared without baking soda and baking powder, has a dense texture, but at the same time it is tender, with a bright creamy chocolate taste.

  1. Mix flour, sugar, a pinch of salt, chocolate in a bowl. Pre-grate the chocolate on a coarse grater.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Mix the eggs in a separate container.
  4. Add the eggs to the dry mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour in the butter, mix until smooth.
  6. Grease the baking dish with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Pour the dough into it. The size of my form is 25×11 cm, height is 8 cm.
  7. Bake the pie in the oven at 180 g. 1 hour. If the top starts to burn, cover with foil. After an hour, remove the pie from the mold, turn it upside down and put it to bake for another 10 minutes. If you have convection in the oven, turn it on.
  8. To give the cupcake a beautiful look, pour the glaze over it. heat 3 tbsp.l. milk, add the broken chocolate and mix well, all the glaze is ready. You can serve this pie with a ball of ice cream. I really liked this chocolate cake and I recommend you to make it.
