  1. To prepare the marinade: mix mustard, maple syrup, brown sugar, finely chopped onion and crushed garlic, add seasoning for meat.
  2. Each steak is thoroughly smeared with marinade. The best meat for grilled steaks is fresh meat.
  3. Put the steak in a bag with a double zip lock (this, by the way, is very convenient for transporting meat to the garden) and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. But about an hour before cooking, it is necessary to get the meat out of the refrigerator – cold meat should not be put on the coals immediately, it should warm up.
  4. To give the steaks a golden color and a delicate aroma of smoking, you can use wood chips for smoking (a mixture of beech and alder), which must be soaked for 30 minutes.
  5. The most important process is roasting. The coals should be as hot as possible. Put the steaks on the grill, put them on the coals – we need the meat to bake slightly and the juice remains inside, does not leak out.
  6. Fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  7. But now do not be lazy and turn the grill almost constantly so that the meat does not burn.
