Liquid Iris Recipe
I want to offer a very simple and quick recipe for homemade caramel. This will require all 3 ingredients and 15 minutes of time. It can be used as an independent dessert, as well as a sprinkle for ice cream or pancakes. Even for a layer of cakes, for example, everyone’s favorite cake “Snickers”, or prepare caramel cream, or gelling desserts. In general, a very versatile dessert!!!

  1. For cooking, we will definitely need a saucepan with a thick bottom.
  2. About half of the sugar from the total mass is poured into a saucepan and we begin to heat it on a fire slightly below average.
  3. It is better not to mix with a spoon so that lumps do not form, and sometimes just “roll” from side to side.
  4. When almost all the sugar has dissolved, add the other half.
  5. In addition, sometimes there is mixing – pumping from side to side. And while the sugar is heating up, put the cream in the microwave. They should be like this!!! hot!!!
  6. When all the sugar has dissolved (here you need to be careful not to overdo the sugar, because bitterness may appear, and consider that the caramel is spoiled) add butter. Mix everything well, be careful not to burn!!!
  7. Next, we send hot cream. Be careful here. The mass will boil, this is normal (there is a very big difference in temperature). Mix everything thoroughly so that nothing burns at the bottom, and boil it. At this point, you can add a pinch of salt. It sets off the taste. And if you want a pronounced salted caramel, you can add 0.5 tsp of salt.
  8. If you want liquid – 5 minutes will be enough, if thicker – about 10 minutes. I made 8 pieces. Here is such a caramel turns out. While it’s hot, it’s liquid. But when it cools down, it gets thicker. And when it’s in the refrigerator, it just keeps its shape well.
  9. Let it cool down a little and pour it into a jar in which we will store it. After the caramel rises in the refrigerator, it will become even tastier.
  10. Our caramel cream sauce is ready. It is very similar to the candy “Toffee”.
  11. This is the consistency of caramel after a night spent in the refrigerator. If you heat it up, it will become liquid again!!!
