  1. We will prepare the necessary products. For serving, I’ll take buckwheat loaves. Cut the pumpkin into cubes.

  3. Orange, lemon pour boiling water and cut into circles. Peel the ginger and cut it too.
  4. Prepare a container where we will grind citrus fruits.
  5. Put everything in a bowl.
  6. Chop lemon, orange, hot pepper, ginger with a blender.
  7. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, put the pumpkin.
  8. In a mortar, grind the star anise, so it will give more of its flavor to the sauce, if there is a powder, then use it.
  9. Add all the spices, sugar, crushed fruit with ginger and pepper to the pumpkin, add a little salt.
  10. Mix everything and put the mass to simmer on a slow fire for about 1 hour.
  11. The mass is slowly stewed, do not forget to stir it.
