Rice Pancakes with Poppy Seeds Recipe
This simple dish is a vivid example of the fact that you can eat delicious food in Lent! Pancakes are prepared quickly. The set of products is minimal. You can serve it with your favorite jams, honey or homemade jam.

  1. We measure out the right amount of rice. We wash it with water. In a saucepan, put the washed rice. Add water and salt.
  2. We put the pan on the fire. Bring the contents of the pan to a boil. Then reduce the heat to a minimum. Cook the rice for 25 minutes, slightly opening the lid of the pan.
  3. The rice is ready.
  4. In a cup, sift the flour. Add sugar, baking powder and poppy seeds.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients.
  6. Add the hot rice broth to the cup. Mix the mass well.
  7. Then add the boiled rice to the cup.
  8. Mix well. The pancake batter is ready.
  9. In a preheated frying pan, pour vegetable oil. Spoon out the prepared dough.
  10. Fry on both sides until golden brown over moderate heat.
  11. Then we spread the pancakes on paper towels, removing the excess oil.
  12. We serve pancakes. I served it with my own citrus jam.
