I want to introduce you to a Spanish sandwich called “poor Andalusian breakfast” and a Cretan sandwich “Dacos”. Dacos is one of the most popular traditional dishes of Cretan cuisine. A colorful, juicy and very appetizing snack. Both are very tasty and easy to prepare in their own way.
We will need two slices of well-dried bread.
In the original Spanish sandwiches, crusty bread is needed, and stale bread is really good for dadas.
Grate the tomato on a coarse grater.
Rub one slice of bread with garlic.
Pour oil over both loaves well and add salt.
Spread the tomato pulp on both pieces.
And now our “Poor Andalusian Breakfast” is ready – it’s bread sprinkled with garlic.
For convenience, we crumble feta, pepper to taste, cut olives and basil.
Instead of basil, you can use dry oregano or parsley.
Capers are also a good choice.
And now our dacos is also ready.
These are wonderful sandwiches of Mediterranean cuisine!
Enjoy your meal!
