I pre-baked these shells from filo dough – cut a sheet of Filo into squares, laid out 2-3 pieces and filled out a cupcake mold. Bake at 180 °C until tender, about 20 minutes. Instead of tartlets, you can use purchased ones.
Grate frozen crab meat on a fine grater. 1/3 set aside for decoration.
Grate the boiled eggs on a fine grater and add to the crabs.
Grate the hard cheese on a fine grater, add to the previous ingredients, salt, pepper and mix with mayonnaise and crushed garlic.
Roll balls from the cheese-crab mass.
Roll the balls in crab chips.
Serve the cheese balls on a platter or in tartlets.
