  1. Cooking mashed potatoes: We lower the sliced potatoes into boiling water, cook until tender, at the end we salt (5 minutes) (in general, it is considered that it is better to cook mashed potatoes from old potatoes, but we do not have to choose)
  2. While our potatoes are cooking, we will prepare garlic: boil about 200 ml of water in a ladle, put the garlic heads disassembled on the teeth. Before that, do not remove the husk. Cook for a couple of 1-2 minutes and immediately flip into a colander
  3. Now the broken shell is easily separated, and the teeth are ready for further processing. Cut off their “ass”
  4. In a frying pan, melt about half of the specified amount of butter, spread our cloves.
  5. Make a small fire and simmer under the lid for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally, make sure that it does not burn.
  6. Fry until golden brown, until the garlic is soft and spreading, and press lightly. Mash with a pestle until a puree-like state is formed (you can use an immersion blender) you can not fry too much garlic, I made it more golden (this is our personal preference, we like with a little bacon), if you just put it out to a light golden color, it will not be noticed in the puree)
  7. Add a little flour, stir, thicken, as if the sauce was being prepared.
  8. In parallel, warm up the milk and pour it into the garlic mass. Lightly whisk until smooth — you can season with spices. The potato dressing is ready.
  9. Meanwhile, our potatoes are ready. Drain absolutely all the water from it.
  10. Add the other half of the remaining butter and pour in 50 ml. cream
  11. Mash everything well, check if there is no salt.
  12. Then start introducing garlic-cream milk in parts! Keep stirring, try for seasoning. Make the consistency of mashed potatoes according to your taste! Someone likes it thick, someone more liquid.
  13. The fragrant mashed potatoes are ready.
