  1. Before you start cooking the dish itself, you need to boil the mini-potatoes in a uniform in salted water. The number of potatoes and their size can be adjusted to your taste. Next, cool the potatoes and remove the skin. In this recipe, I partially peeled the skin. Set the potatoes aside.
  2. Add the prepared home-made minced meat to the bowl. Minced meat is made from different types of meat (pork+beef+ Turkey) in a ratio of about 50x30x20 Add chicken egg (4 pieces), nutmeg (1 teaspoon), starch (1 tablespoon), salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix the minced meat thoroughly and beat it off. Minced meat should have a viscous, sticky structure.
  3. The baking dish is lined with parchment for the convenience of removing the finished mitlof. At the bottom, put a small amount of cooked minced meat, then put the mini-potatoes, as shown in the photo. Then again a layer of minced meat and again a layer of mini-potatoes, etc.
  4. Send the form filled with minced meat and potatoes to the oven preheated to t 180-190 C. Bake the mitlof for about 1 hour. -1 hour. 20 minutes. Then take the form with the finished mitlof out of the oven and sprinkle with grated cheese and send it back to the oven to melt the cheese.
  5. Remove the finished mitlof from the mold, cool, cut into portions and serve with mustard. Enjoy your meal at the festive new Year’s table!
