Okroshka “Rubbing” Recipe
The name comes from the fact that everything except onions is rubbed on a coarse grater. From this, the taste of okroshka becomes more saturated.

  1. This is our main ingredient, without which this okroshka is not okroshka. White kvass.
  2. Chop half of the onion and grind with salt until the juice forms. Grate all vegetables, potatoes and eggs on a coarse grater. Just chop the rest of the onion. Mix it up.
  3. Arrange it on plates, pour kvass, pour sour cream and serve to the table.
