  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight. Drain the water, pour in a new one and cook for 1 hour.
  2. Cut the pumpkin into cubes.
  3. Chop the onion.
  4. Fry the pumpkin and onion until golden brown.
  5. Add chickpeas, tomatoes, spices and water. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
