Rice Gratin Recipe

  1. If the mushrooms, like mine, are dry, they should be soaked for about two hours in boiling water.
  2. If the mushrooms, like mine, are dry, you should soak the rice, cook in salted water, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Chop the minced meat again, adding salt, ground black pepper and Italian herbs.
  3. Fry the mushrooms well with one finely chopped onion, season with salt and pepper, fry the minced meat a little with the second finely chopped onion.
  4. To the finished rice, add a part (1/2) of cheese, grated on a coarse grater, and an egg. I did it in two bowls for the convenience of mixing, it turned out a lot of rice.
  5. Grease a baking sheet with oil, spread in layers: half of the rice, all the minced meat, mushrooms with onions and pour rice. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese mixed with breadcrumbs. Put it in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  6. After removing from the oven, sprinkle with fresh herbs to taste. Gratin is ready!
