  1. Wash potatoes and carrots and boil in a uniform. The cooled vegetables are cleaned and grated on a coarse grater.
  2. I don’t like to mess with beets, I buy them already boiled in a vacuum bag, they are always sweet and delicious. Grate the finished beets on a coarse grater.
  3. Grate the onion on a coarse grater, squeeze out the excess juice.
  4. Cut the herring fillet into small cubes.
  5. For salad dressing, I will use a sauce for which I mix yogurt (you can replace it with yogurt), garlic, pressed, salt, lemon juice and horseradish. Combine everything in a bottle, shake well, so that the sauce turns out homogeneous. My husband prefers ordinary mayonnaise, children’s mayonnaise is creamy, and I filled myself, my beloved, only with this sauce).
  6. Combine the grated vegetables with the salmon, mix. The base of the salad is ready.
  7. Season the salad immediately before serving, on top, if desired, you can decorate with egg grated on a fine grater.
