Instructions
  1. Peel the onion, garlic and carrots. Then chop the garlic, and cut the onion and carrot into small cubes. To prepare the soup, I took a frying pan with a volume of 3 liters (thanks for the wonderful gift from the chef). Pour olive oil, heat and fry the chopped carrots.
  2. Then add the chopped onion and crushed garlic, fry the vegetables for 5 minutes until golden brown. Garlic should give its flavor.
  3. Add potatoes cut into small cubes to the vegetables, add salt to taste, add sweet paprika. Simmer the potatoes together with onions and carrots for about 5 minutes.
  4. Now fill the stewed vegetables with water (you can use broth). Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are ready. If necessary, add salt to taste.
  5. To make manji soup, I used canned white beans. As soon as the potatoes are soft, add the canned white beans. Bring everything to a boil.
  6. Add the string beans (I have frozen). Bring the soup to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Now you need to add canned tomatoes to the soup. Bring the soup to a boil again and cook for 3 minutes.
  8. At the end of cooking, add 1 tablespoon of horseradish to the soup. Taste the soup (add what is missing, usually salt). Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  9. Balkan soup “Manya” is ready.
  10. Serve the Manja soup, sprinkled with fresh herbs (I have finely chopped: dill, cilantro and green onions). Enjoy your meal!
