  1. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. The cheese variety can be changed, but remember that the taste of the final dish largely depends on this. If you take a less spicy and salty variety, you will need to increase the amount of salt. Mix softened butter with grated cheese. Add flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Knead the dough quickly. Roll the dough into a ball and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the cooled dough into a layer about 5 mm thick and cut into narrow strips 2 cm wide and about 15 cm long .
  3. Each strip is wound on a stick or pencil, and then carefully removed. I made changes, and the following lanes just twisted.
  4. Place the spirals on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and place in a preheated 200 degree oven. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
