Marinated Soft Cheese from Yogurt Recipe
I found the recipe in one of the cooking magazines and immediately started cooking it. The result is simply amazing. I advise everyone! And since this wonderful snack is prepared in the refrigerator and served cold.

  1. You can buy yogurt, or you can, like me, cook it yourself. To do this, take 2 liters of milk and heat it to 45-50 degrees. In a small amount of hot milk, dissolve the starter culture for yogurt (it can now be easily purchased in a supermarket, pharmacy or online). Pour the diluted starter culture into the milk. I’m making yogurt in a ceramic pot. I pour the milk into it, seasoned with sourdough, wrap it in a blanket and leave it for the night. In the morning, the ready-made yogurt is sent to the refrigerator.
  2. It can be consumed with fruits and nuts.
  3. And from a part of yogurt-we prepare soft cheese. To do this, measure out 800 g of yogurt and add salt to it.
  4. Cover the sieve with gauze in 2-3 layers and spread the yogurt in it. We send it to the refrigerator for three days.
  5. After three days, we continue cooking. Preparing spices. With rosemary, break off the twigs.
  6. Take allspice.
  7. I have such a small pepper growing on my windowsill, but it is so sharp that such a small one can easily replace a standard-sized chili.
  8. I like spicy, so I don’t clean the seeds and partitions, but just cut my little super chili into 3-4 parts.
  9. Garlic is cleaned and cut into plates.
  10. Remove the weighed yogurt from the refrigerator. It became noticeably smaller. Now it has turned into a soft cheese.
  11. About 0.5 l of serum was released from it. It can be frozen and, in the future, used for okroshka or bread, pancakes
  12. Apply vegetable oil to your hands, take 1 tsp of cheese and roll it into balls.
  13. At the bottom of the jar, spread half the spices.
  14. Send our cheese balls there, fill them with vegetable oil. Ideally, olive oil, but you can use refined sunflower oil, like mine. Lay the second half of the spices.
  15. Send it to the refrigerator for 3 days.
  16. You can eat with bread.
