A delicious, hearty and very flavorful side dish is suitable for almost any dish. Juiciness and a pleasant creamy taste gives the dish sour cream , instead of which you can take cream or mayonnaise. For a festive table, you can make such a side dish in portion molds.
Raw bacon (7 slices) cut into strips and fry in a pan until Golden brown.
Put on a paper towel.
Cut the onion into strips.
In the same pan, fry the onion until Golden.
Cut the potatoes into slices using a food processor with a "slicing" attachment.
Grease the baking dish with butter, put half the potatoes, then half the bacon and onions.
Lay the remaining potatoes, top with the remaining onion and bacon.
For filling, mix sour cream , water, salt, spices for potatoes (I used ready- made ones) and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly.
Pour the filling over the potatoes.
Cut the cheese (I used Adygea) into slices and put it on top of the potatoes. If desired, sprinkle with rosemary.Bake in a preheated 180 gr oven for about 1 hour. The baking time will depend on the shape (material) and size.
