Follow the same recipe. My husband loves stuffed peppers, but his sons eat only the stuffing at best. But they love “hedgehogs”! Therefore, I decided to cook two dishes at once almost according to the same recipe and at the same time!
Boil pearl barley until half-cooked. Onions and carrots fry in vegetable oil.
Mix minced meat, onions with carrots, pearl barley. Add raw egg.
Fill the peppers and put in a suitable pan. Mix tomato and sour cream, salt, pepper, pour pepper and put to simmer. If necessary, add water or tomato. Leave a little mixture for the “hedgehogs”. Simmer the peppers until tender.
Form the remaining minced meat into “hedgehogs” and fry in vegetable oil.
Pour “hedgehogs” the remaining mixture, cook for 10 minutes.
And now ready for the “hedgehogs”.
And stuffed peppers. By the way, pepper and pearl barley seemed more interesting to me than rice.
