Chocolate and Coffee Cake “Winter” Recipe

In our family Arsenal, there are three cupcake recipes that are completely different from each other. We always prepare them during the winter holidays. Here I hasten to You with the first recipe of the most fragrant rich chocolate-coffee cake with cognac. The taste of the cake is very rich and rich… fragrant, spicy, chocolate-velvety… Thanks to a slightly non-standard method of cooking, the structure of the cake is simply amazing.

  1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Flour, starch, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
  2. Beat softened butter until creamy.
  3. Add to the flour mixture and beat until crumbs form.
  4. Pour in the eggs and coffee. Coffee should be taken ground, freshly brewed. Beat on a low speed mixer. Add the melted chocolate and cognac and beat well again until smooth.
  5. Grease the cake pan with butter and sprinkle with flour or cover with baking paper. Put the dough in the prepared form, flatten.
  6. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about an hour. Check with a toothpick. Cool on a wire rack. You can pour icing or chocolate on top.
