Shakshuka “On Siberian” Recipe
A dish of eggs cooked in vegetable broth with the addition of meat products (ham, boiled meat, sausages, etc.) is an easy way to abandon the classic fried eggs. Try to cook eggs in broth without bringing the yolk to full readiness – you will not regret it. “In Siberian” – because it does not pretend to be fully consistent with the original.

Ingredients
  • 1piece Onion
  • 1/2piece Bulgarian pepper
  • 1piece Tomato
  • 150gram MeatThe meat should not be raw. Ham or sausage, in our case usually it is “home-made beef”, bought in a supermarket in a vacuum package
  • 3cloves Garlic
  • 4pieces Chicken eggs
  • SeasoningAll to taste – red hot pepper ground, dill and onion green or dried, mustard
  • Soy sauceto taste
Instructions
  1. Do not cut onions, bell peppers, meat, tomatoes. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and put it on a fire above average. We wait until the oil warms up, and pour the onion. A little salt.
  2. When the onion starts to fry, add the bell pepper. Fry them together until the onion turns golden brown. Boil the kettle.
  3. Add water from a boiling kettle for 0.5 liters, let it boil. Reduce the heat, cover the meat, finely chopped garlic, wait for boiling and cook for 5 minutes. Then add tomatoes, herbs, spices to taste, soy sauce, mustard. Add salt, too, to taste. Let it boil.
  4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.
  5. Everything is ready to add eggs.
  6. Break the eggs so that the yolk does not spread. We increase the heating to the “above average” level.
  7. Now comes the hardest part. Do not miss the moment when the protein is almost ready, and the yolk remains liquid. We usually cook this for 10 minutes on a slightly above average heat. Even if you just notice that the protein is almost ready, you can turn off the stove or remove it from the stove. The protein will swell after 5 minutes in a hot frying pan.
  8. It is more convenient to put the vegetable grounds on plates first. We do this with a wooden spoon so as not to scratch the pan. Then we spread the eggs on top (it is convenient to fish carefully with a slotted spoon). Pour in the remaining broth.
  9. Done.
  10. You can have breakfast.
