Borscht “Fire” Recipe

  1. Fill the chicken with water and put it on the fire. When it boils, put the whole potatoes and carrots, cook for 45 minutes. At the same time, fry the beets in another frying pan.
  2. Is the chicken cooked? Take it out with the vegetables. Put chopped cabbage and mashed (not mashed) potatoes in the broth. To cook.
  3. Chop the onion and put it in a preheated frying pan with oil, fry until soft. Meanwhile, cut the boiled carrots and beets into strips. Add the fried onions to the pan and sprinkle everything with lemon juice (or vinegar) Add the tomato paste to the vegetables, pepper and fry for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Is the cabbage already soft? Add the browned vegetables and sugar (I never add sugar, but there is one in the recipe). Put the bay leaf. Bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Let it brew for 30 minutes. Pour the borscht on plates and put sour cream, crushed garlic and fresh dill.
