Ideal for an evening tea party (in our family they even drink tea at night), it’s not a shame to serve guests, and for a holiday. For the top, ordinary melted chocolate is suitable if you do not want to prepare the glaze. The taste of the cake will depend on the quality of cookies and cottage cheese.
From additives today I wanted to take such dried fruits.
But you can do with one highlight.
Always wash and squeeze the raisins for morning cheesecakes in advance and store them in the refrigerator in a closed box.
But dried apricots and prunes had to be cooled and allowed to brew.
For the filling, cottage cheese from the package is better suited, not cereals. In addition, children’s cheeses (100 g without glaze) are also excellent.
I have large packs of cottage cheese of 350 g, such are sold in Latvia.
Add the soft butter. It is possible without this, if the cottage cheese is elastic, spreads well and holds its shape.
The amount of sugar depends on the cottage cheese.
Vanilla on request.
Mix the cottage cheese and divide in half into different bowls.
Squeeze the prunes and chop them.
Add half of the cheese along with the raisins.
The first filling-spread is ready.
For the second filling, squeeze and slice the dried apricots.
Pour into another part of the cottage cheese.
Also add cocoa.
Try on cookies in advance so that it is enough for all layers. You can bake a square pie. The number of layers can also be different: from 2 to 5.
The technology is familiar to everyone: warm up the milk and dip the cookies in hot, quickly take them out and transfer them to a tray or a flat plate
Spread half of the brown filling on the liver.
Continue to dip the cookies in the milk and spread the next layer, lightly pressing, on the cottage cheese.
On the second layer of cookies, apply half of the white cottage cheese.
Again, a layer of milk-soaked cookies.
Next, cottage cheese with cocoa (I skipped this step), a layer of cookies and the remains of cottage cheese with raisins. Finish with a layer of cookies.
For decoration, take, for example, candied fruits.
In the same bowl where I heated the milk for cookies, I will prepare the icing. Add sugar, cocoa and butter to the remaining milk.
Melt the glaze over low heat and add any roasted nuts or seeds. If the glaze seems very liquid, just boil it over the fire.
Add candied fruits.
You can make a simple glaze, without additives, and then sprinkle, for example, coconut chips or sesame seeds or sprinkle for decoration.
Mix and apply on top.
The sides are optionally covered with glaze.
The pie is ready to serve, but it’s better to let it soak. I usually cook it overnight and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning for breakfast we will prepare a surprise for the whole family! Try this!
