  1. First peel the onion and cut it into rings, you can use any onion, I have a white and red onion in half. Put the onion in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil. Sprinkle with ginger, cinnamon, sugar and pepper, grated on a fine grater. Stir the onion and leave to marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Cut the meat into pieces. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, fry the pieces of meat in the remaining oil.
  3. Add the onion and stir.
  4. Add a little salt and water. Cover and simmer for two hours until the meat is ready, the onion should almost boil. Pour in water as needed, its amount depends on how thick you want to get the sauce. Somewhere in the middle, add the sauce to taste. I also added a little cinnamon, just focus on your taste.
  5. Half an hour before the end of cooking, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar. At the very end, try again, you may want to add some more sugar. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
