- Add some salt and water. Cover with a lid and simmer for two hours until the meat is ready, the onion should almost boil. Pour water as needed, its amount depends on how thick the sauce you want to get. Somewhere in the middle of the sauce to taste. I still added a little cinnamon, just focus on your taste.
