Wash the dried fruits and soak for 20 minutes. Then apples, peeled, dried fruits, nuts finely chop or grind in a blender.
Roll out the finished puff pastry. Distribute the filling. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon or vanilla. Roll up the roll. Brush with beaten egg. Bake in the oven until golden brown.
While the strudel is baking, prepare the sauce. Melt the sugar in a frying pan, add cream and chocolate. Stir and bring to a boil.
Pour the sauce over the finished strudel (it turns out almost glaze). Although the sauce can be served separately and pour it over the strudel slices when serving.
