  1. Cut the stale loaf into slices. Spread half generously with butter, and the other half with jam (I have currant, but you can orange or apricot). Place the bread in a baking dish with a ladder so that one piece fits on top of the other. I pre-greased the mold with vegetable oil and sprinkled with flour.
  2. Now prepare the sauce. Beat the eggs with sugar. Add sour cream, starch, vanilla sugar.
  3. Grease the bread with sauce. We put it in the oven at a temperature of 170 degrees. 20 minutes. After a couple of minutes, increase the temperature for browning.
