Citrus Tart “95” Recipe
On the seventh of December, my grandmother had an anniversary – she turned 95 years old!* Among the treats was this citrus pie. It is based on low-fat shortbread dough stuffed with winter fruits – orange, tangerine and grapefruit, supplemented with zest and cinnamon. The cake is suitable for everyone who observes the Christmas fast, and not only. Try

Instructions
  1. Prepare the dough. Dissolve sugar and salt in water, add vegetable oil. Add about half of the flour with baking powder, vanilla and lemon and orange zest and mix.
  2. Add the remaining flour and knead the dough, then leave for 20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Peel the fruit, disassemble them into slices and check for light, if there are bones, remove them, then put them in the bowl of a food processor with a “chopping knife” attachment.
  4. Grind for 15 seconds. Add sugar mixed with starch.
  5. Turn on the harvester for another 15 seconds. The filling is ready.
  6. Roll out the remaining dough with a thickness of about 2-3 mm, cut out a circle 5-6 cm larger than the diameter of your mold.
  7. Put the dough into the mold, you should get the sides.
  8. Cut out small figures from the remains of the dough (on occasion I have hearts, but there may be stars, and leaves, whatever). From the parts of the figurine, lay out a drawing or composition on a New Year’s theme. For example, a Christmas tree made of stars, or the number “31”. I have, of course, 95)) Bake curly and sliced cookies at a temperature of 190 * C for about 10-12 minutes.
  9. Then put the filling on the dough in a mold, bake at a temperature of 190 * C for 25-30 minutes, until the edges seize (the filling was too thin to immediately spread the cookies).
  10. The edges are browned – decorate the pie with cookies in a circle, press lightly, bake for another 7-10 minutes, until the middle is browned.
  11. Place the prepared composition in the center and press it lightly. Bake for another 5 minutes until tender.
  12. Cool the finished cake. Sprinkle with powdered sugar in the center, cinnamon on the edges and serve.
  13. A piece for the birthday girl) Bon appetit!
