Mashed Potatoes, Baked with Garlic and Cheese Recipe
An old magazine “Culinary Workshop” came under my hands, in which, in addition to many interesting recipes, there were recipes for dishes with cheese. I wanted to try to cook a new version of mashed potatoes for me, I cooked it and did not regret it – it was delicious. You can serve it as a side dish to meat, fish or just eat a piece of this “potato casserole”, washed down with cold milk. It is prepared simply, looks elegant. I recommend cooking.

  1. Here is a set of products that I need for cooking. The potatoes were washed and peeled.
  2. Cut the potatoes into small cubes, add garlic cloves to it. If you prefer a more noticeable garlic flavor in combination with potatoes, increase the amount by a couple of cloves. Mix two tablespoons of grated parmesan with breadcrumbs.
  3. I put the potatoes with garlic to cook, and while they are cooking in salted water, I grate the mozzarella on a grater, after holding a piece of cheese in the freezer for 30 minutes. I grated half a piece of cheese on a medium grater, the other half on a large one. There is no deep meaning in this, just warmth, and the piece began to melt in my hands.
  4. We drain the water from the finished potatoes and mash them in mashed potatoes with garlic (we don’t remove this stage, I’m sure everyone can do it). Add warmed milk, grated mozzarella, remaining parmesan, pepper to the puree.
  5. Then mix everything thoroughly and put it in a form greased with butter, smooth it out.
  6. Sprinkle a mixture of cheese and breadcrumbs on top and send it to a preheated 200 * c oven-bake until golden brown.
