Pumpkin and Onion Pie Recipe

  1. Finely chop the onion, fry in well-heated corn (sunflower refined, 2 tbsp.l.) oil until golden brown. Cut the pumpkin into medium-sized cubes (about 1.5 cm * 1.5 cm). Put the pumpkin in a frying pan with onions and, stirring constantly, cook the vegetables together for three minutes until the pumpkin is half done. The fire is active. The mass of already peeled vegetables is indicated.
  2. Season the vegetable filling with paprika, add a little salt, add garlic powder, mix, cool. Be careful with salt, as the pie dough is quite salty.
  3. In the bowl of a food processor or chopper, beat the egg (C 2), pour the flour sifted and mixed with baking powder, add the cheese grated on a fine grater and pour corn (sunflower refined) oil. Cheese can be replaced with semi-hard cheese.
  4. Turn the food processor on high power for a few seconds. (the nozzle “metal knife for grinding” is used) All ingredients are mixed evenly until fine crumbs are obtained. The dough is ready! You can prepare the dough by hand: mix the ingredients for the dough with a fork, and then rub the mass with your hands. Not as fast as when using technology, but everything turns out perfectly too.
  5. The bottom of the detachable baking dish should be covered with baking paper. (d) 17-18 cm) Pour half of the dough into the mold, lightly tamp. Put the cooled filling on the crumbs in an even layer.
  6. Put the second piece of dough on top-a crumb. Smooth it out, tamp it down a little. Sprinkle the cake with sesame seeds. (on request)
  7. Bake the pie in a preheated 190° oven for 22-25 minutes. Until it’s browned. Always consider the specifics of your technique. Let the finished cake cool for ten minutes in the mold.
  8. Then remove the pie from the mold, carefully transfer it to the grill and cool completely. You’re finished!
