Onion Pie with Cabbage and Cheese Recipe
Aspic pie, the dough of which is made with cream and curd cheese and where the filling is dominated by more fried onions than cabbage. Hard cheese is added to the filling. Flavorful, simple, delicious!!! It is a holiday week. We continue to bake delicious and satisfying pies.

  1. Making the filling. In the photo, I showed, in comparison to a matchbox, what kind of onion I prepared for the filling in the pie. Pour the oil into the pan, put it on the stove, heat it and spread the finely chopped onion. Fry a little until soft. Do not fry too much, otherwise it will not be delicious. To the onion, spread the white cabbage, also finely chopped. Cook until ready. I did not fry much, I did it on a minimum heat with the lid closed. At the end, salt and pepper. Pepper is not necessary if there will be children. I pepper it with ground Cayenne.

  2. Parallel to make the dough. Cream a little heated, put sugar, a spoonful of cottage cheese and broke 2 eggs. I will beat the mass a little with an electric whisk. You can use a kitchen machine to knead the dough. I added sunflower oil and whipped everything up again. Combine the flour with baking powder and sift into the mixture. Whisk together the flour in small portions, put salt. The dough is ready. The consistency is similar to condensed milk.

  3. The onion and cabbage filling is ready. Grate cheese on a grater. Cheese cake will not spoil and you can take more of it. I took a split form D-20 cm and height-6 cm. You can take any shape of this diameter, which you have: silicone; ceramic... I'll use baking paper to cover my uniform. I'll put some oil on the paper. Visually divide the dough in half and pour half on the bottom of the form. With a silicone spatula, I spread the dough evenly. Sprinkle with half the grated cheese. Next-a thick layer of onion-cabbage filling. Leveling up.
    The onion and cabbage filling is ready. Grate cheese on a grater. Cheese cake will not spoil and you can take more of it. I took a split form D-20 cm and height-6 cm.   4. Spread the cheese again and fill with the second half of the dough. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds on top. Put in the oven preheated to t-180 C for 40 minutes. We try to "dry splinter". The dough does not stick to the splinter, which means the pie is ready. Focus on your oven. I have a small electric oven for 18 liters, bakes very quickly and well. Let the pie cool down a little.
    Spread the cheese again and fill with the second half of the dough. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds on top. Put in the oven preheated to t-180 C for 40 minutes. We try to "dry splinter". The dough does not stick to the splinter, which means the pie is ready. Focus on your oven. I have a small electric oven  for 18 liters, bakes very quickly and well. Let the pie cool down a little.
