I suggest cooking a fragrant rice casserole with an apple layer and a caramel crust on top. The taste is apple, vanilla and sweet. Such a casserole can easily be served on a festive table. Try to cook and enjoy this casserole.
First I prepare the apple layer. Wash the apples, peel them, and grate them on a coarse grater. In a frying pan in butter, simmer the grated apples with sugar and lemon juice a little until the excess moisture evaporates.
We prepare the rice layer. Pour milk into a saucepan, add rice, sugar, salt and cook porridge.
Let the porridge cool down.
Add eggs and vanilla to the porridge, mix.
Grease the mold (the size of my mold is 16 * 23 cm) with butter. Lay out half a layer of rice, level the surface. Then I lay out a layer of apples, level the surface again.
Lay out the remaining layer of rice.
Preparing the filling. Mix sour cream, brown sugar and vanilla.
I distribute the filling over a layer of rice.
Bake the casserole in a preheated 190 degree oven for about 45-50 minutes. Serve the casserole, garnished with lemon balm or mint. Enjoy your meal!
