Instructions
  1. First you need to prepare the dough for Christmas trees. To do this, in the bowl of a food processor, I beat eggs with sugar until fluffy. Then gradually added vegetable oil, orange juice and flour mixed with baking powder, and once again mixed everything in a food processor.
  2. I added a couple of drops of green dye to the finished dough and poured the resulting dough onto a baking sheet covered with parchment. It is important to evenly distribute the dough so that it is approximately the same thickness. Bake the sponge cake at 180 degrees in the oven for about 7-10 minutes. it is important that the top of the biscuit is not browned.
  3. Let the finished biscuit cool and cut out the Christmas trees with a cookie cutter.
  4. Prepare the main dough. To do this, I needed hazelnuts. First, I dried the nuts in a frying pan, cooled them and crushed them into large crumbs in a food processor.
  5. Beat the soft butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs and whisk again. Add the zest and orange juice, add the hazelnuts and mix well.
  6. Gradually pour in all the flour mixed with baking powder.
  7. Grease the cake pan with a thin layer of butter and put a little of the main dough on the bottom. Then lay the Christmas trees on top, laying them in a row tightly to each other.
  8. Pour over the remaining dough. Bake the pie at 180 degrees for about 45-50 minutes, check the readiness with a wooden skewer. Let the finished cake cool down a little, then carefully remove it and put it on the grill. Leave to cool completely
  9. Sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar and decorate as desired. Enjoy your tea!
